Post Growth Summit

Post Growth Summit was the first event of its kind in Canada devoted to exploring a post-growth economy, while redefining entrepreneurship through a diverse, feminist lens. I joined the marketing and communications team as the Design Lead, assigned with the role of creating the event's visual identity while also overseeing its application through the set design, official website, and social media channels. Futhermore, I was a featured speaker at the event's art and design panel.

The brand identity was envisioned to portray a bold, radical, yet professional look. I merged sans-serif and serif type, specifically choosing women-designed typefaces. During initial discussions, the themes of rebirth and cyclical change were mentioned, thus the motif of the rounded shapes. Violet was chosen as the primary hue to represent the historical symbolism and usage of the colour throughout first-wave feminist demonstrations.
